MUNSTER REGIONAL SQUADS CRITERIA –  ‘09 – ‘10

Membership of the Munster Regional Squad will be based on the following criteria:

1. Achieve a minimum of one LC qualifying times from the attached list of QTs.
2. All QTs are LC but short course conversions may, in exceptional circumstances, be accepted after a written request to the Munster HP committee. Applications will be judged on an individual basis.
3. Those claiming places for the 2009/10 squad must have achieved the stated LC QTs since June 1st 2009.
4.  Swimmers must be registered with their clubs for the 2009 - 2010 swimming season.
5. Commit to a Goal Setting programme – performance based and based on SMARTER principles. Continuing membership of the squads will be dependant on agreed goals being achieved.
6.  Swimmers must be fulfilling required training attendance with their home clubs.   This fact will be checked with the home coach regularly Or in advance of all squad activities.
7. Squad members will be expected to participate regularly in squad activities
8. Clubs and/ or parents are responsible for the supervision of their swimmers during all breaks.
9. All clubs must assist with chaperoning (deck and dressing rooms). A rota  will be drawn up in this respect.
10.  Claims must be submitted, in advance of attending a camp, on the official Munster Squad Claim Form. Squad membership fee must also have been paid in full.
11. Members must guarantee their availability to represent the region if selected.
12.  The Munster HP committee reserve the right to adapt arrangements and criteria at short notice based on perceived needs.
13. The applicants’ prior participation and adherence records will be considered in addition to the above stated criteria.
